Well, I wouldn’t go as far and say this is a must have book on your bookshelf. It sure is funny, often sarcastic, and at times helpful. There are always those moments when you are quite unsure of what your response should be to something weird. This book will reaffirm your doubts and you will know that there are things that are weird to others as well.
Stuff You Should Know About Stuff: How to Properly Behave in Certain Situations
Authors: Tyler Stanton, Tripp Crosby
Publisher: BenBella Books (November 4, 2014)
Pages: 234 pages
ISBN: 1939529689
Most of the situations discussed in Stuff You Should Know About Stuff are universally painful – like listening to someone recount a boring incident on the phone. How do you respond if the person wants to pick up this conversation later? You will learn that and also learn how others feel if you are the source J of such conversation.
Then there is social media. If people can get quirky, this is the place it will be. You have social media people advising you what not to do in professional contexts, but there are as many things that annoy people on Facebook personal accounts and pages. You will love to read these Dos and Don’ts as you have secretly thought of them many times but decided to do the right thing – be polite.
There are plenty of awkward situations, and the best one I have come across in the book yet is the author talking about how to follow through when you accidentally respond to a greeting meant for the person behind you. The potential responses the authors discuss can save you from self loathing and help you diffuse the awkward situation without any harm to your self esteem.

Get Stuff You Should Know About Stuff, it is are true gem. You will love reading it and discussing it with your friends. I guess (hope not too much) you will enjoy it most with a group at your next party or family gathering.
Another useful tip and something I have stressed over often is when sitting in the exit row seat on a plane. What do you answer when quizzed if you can handle the exit row responsibilities? The first thought is can I? Am I endangering the lives of others if I lie? Good to know I am not the only one!
I began this review saying that it is not a must have book. I will bring that criticism a notch down. You should buy Stuff You Should Know About Stuff. Take it as a funny, sarcastic read if you do most of the things right, else it will be an education and a reference manual.
Couldn’t find much about the celebrity authors Tripp Crosby and Tyler Stanton, so I will end this review with a few laughs and a glimpse of what you should expect from the book.
